- v5: Current major version. Same requirements as v4; the big change is Livewire v4.
- v4: Still receiving releases alongside v5.
- v3: Still receiving releases. Laravel 9 was supported until v3.2.39 raised the minimum to Laravel 10.45.
- v2: Only occasional patch releases now. Runs on Laravel 8.6+, 9 and 10 with PHP 8.0 or newer, so PHP 8.1 works.
Filament and Laravel compatibility
Each cell shows the first Filament release that supports that Laravel version. Update Filament to at least that release before you upgrade Laravel.
Laravel 10 and 11 are end of life: they no longer get security fixes. Filament still installs on them, but new projects should use Laravel 12 or 13.

A PHP version works with a Filament version when at least one Laravel version supports both.

Still on Filament v3? Older releases of Font Awesome Icons (v0.1.x) , Iconoir Icons (v1.x) and Phosphor Icons (v1.x) still install on v3, but they no longer get updates.

What is the current version of Filament?

Does Filament support Laravel 13?
Yes. Filament v5 supports Laravel 13 from v5.4.0, Filament v4 from v4.9.0 and Filament v3 from v3.3.54. Laravel 13 needs PHP 8.3 or newer.
When was Filament v4 released?
Filament v4.0.0 was released on Aug 12, 2025. Filament v5.0.0 followed on Jan 16, 2026.
Does Filament 2 work with PHP 8.1?
Yes. Filament v2 requires PHP 8.0 or newer and runs on Laravel 8.6+, 9 and 10, so PHP 8.1 is fine. It only gets occasional patch releases (latest v2.17.59), so new projects should start on v5.
What is the difference between Filament v4 and v5?
Both need PHP 8.2+ and Laravel 11.28+. Filament v5 moves to Livewire v4; Filament v4 stays on Livewire v3. Plugins that support v4 usually support v5 too.
Is Laravel 11 still supported?
No. Laravel 11 stopped getting security fixes on Mar 12, 2026, so it is end of life. Filament v5, v4 and v3 still install on it, but plan an upgrade to Laravel 12 or 13.
